Atlantic Zeiser Launches DIGILINE Compact for Variable Data Printing

Atlantic Zeiser has released the DIGILINE Compact system for use in printing and encoding variable data on flat carton boxes, cardboard blanks, and single sheets. The company is introducing the system at Grafitalia, which is being held this week in Milan. The company says the DIGILINE is an entry-level, standalone system for late-stage short-run printing of serial numbers, codes and logos on carton boxes, cardboard blanks and single sheets, such as sleeves and labels. more

ISO 16612-2 Variable Data Exchange Standard Receives Intertech Technology Award

Printing Industries of America has recognized the work of NPES and the International Organization for Standardization/Technical Committee 130/Working Group 2 (prepress data exchange) by awarding an InterTech Technology Award for the ISO 16612-2 Variable Data Exchange--Part 2: Using PDF/X-4 and PDF/X-5. The award recognizes technologies predicted to have a major impact on the graphic arts and related industries. The standard defines the PDF/VT document format and methods for reliable document exchange for variable data and transactional printing. more

The Beijing Institute of Graphic Communication (BIGC) has installed Haiyaa VariPrint variable data printing software as its standard VDP application in the classroom and in its national digital printing lab.
