Kodak has released the Insite Prepress Portal System 6.5, which the company previewed at drupa 2012. The new release includes several new features including an application that supports review, annotation, and approval of jobs from Apple iPads, and also has a new document uploader based on Adobe Flash and enhancements to job status review, preflighting, and user management. more
Zevrix Solutions has announced its output automation solution for Adobe InDesign, Output Factor 1.0. The company says the product automates printing, exporting, and post-processing from InDesign and is a major upgrade of Zevrix BatchOutput. more
Enfocus has released a major upgrade to Instant PDF, which includes a frequently requested feature: annotated error reporting. Instant PDF 10 also supports OSX 10.7 Lion, Adobe CS 5.5 Illustrator, InDesign, and Acrobat X/Distiller. The new version is available to licensed users from the Enfocus Web site. more

Pantone has extended its Pantone Plus series with two new guides designed for two distinct groups of customers. The Pantone Plus Series Designer Field Guide is a multi-function version of its Formula Guide with wider color swatches and tear-out chips of all 1,341 Pantone solid colors. The Pantone Plus Series Starter Guide is a sampler of popular colors from each of the Pantone color libraries designed to introduce the Pantone Color System to students and others new to design. more
