Vasont Content Management System Now Supports oXygen XML Editor 14.2

Vascont Systems has announced support of the newest release of oXygen software as an XML editor in the Vasont Content Management System. Vasont Systems has certified its Vasont Universal Integrator extension supports oXygen 14.2, which was released in February, 2013. The company says when using the extension, Vasont CCMS users are able to write and edit XML content in oXygen while accessing the Vasont CCMS through a toolbar menu option. more

Quark Pubs-XML Accelerator 4 Lets Users Create ICS Documents from Word

Quark Inc. has announced version 4 of Pubs-Accelerator publishing plug-in to Quark XML Author that allows users to author Intelligence Community Standard (ICS) documents from Microsoft Word. The plug-in encodes XML content for classification, declassification, handling, and dissemination and readies content for delivery to XML, HTML, PDF, and Microsoft Word formats. The new version also supports Pubs-XML5, the XML data encoding specification for intelligence publications. more

Quark Announces XML Author 4.0 for Microsoft Word

Quark has announced Quark XML Author 4.0 for Microsoft Word, the Quark add-on that allows users to create structured XML content using the popular word processing software. The new release adds new usability features, enhanced DITA mapping, and an option module for publishing to the DITA Open Toolkit. This release also supports Microsoft Office 2010. more

Quark and Ixiasoft Work Together on Quark XML Author Integration

Quark and Ixiasoft have integrated Quark XML Author for Microsoft Word with Ixiasoft’s DITA CMS. The integration allows DITA CMS users to create structured content in a Microsoft Word user interface and manage the entire DITA documentation process. The combination improves cross-departmental collaboration on production of technical documentation without the need of DITA or XML editors. more

Vasont Announces XML Self-Publishing Tool

Vasont Systems has announced Vasont WebLNX, a tool that allows content contributors to create, update, and submit XML content for publishing to the Vasont CMS via a secure Web site. The tool provides a virtual XML editing environment for contributing authors, subject-matter experts, and casual writers. This addition to the Vasont toolkit was introduced at the Vasont Users Group Meeting held September 27-29. more
