to use McAfee Embedded Control software. Xerox representatives explain any
networked digital device, including printers, are vulnerable to malware and other computer security violations. Xerox and McAfee
say the security system simplifies processes for protecting multifunction

The Information Management Institute has announced its Ninth Annual Security Printing Conference, to be held November 14-16 in the Hollywood Beach Marriott in Hollywood, Florida. The conference will cover the rapid advances in all aspects of security printing with a focus on brand protection, commercial document printing, and government-issue document printing. more
Color-Logic will introduce a new feature of its Process Metallic Color System at drupa. This feature, Security-FX, uses silver ink or metallic substrate to produce security effects when printing with metallic inks. more
Kodak has introduced a new, virtually invisible clear ink called the NEXPRESS
Red Fluorescing Dry Ink, for NEXPRESS production presses. Designed for
security and inventory management applications, the ink is clear to the
naked eye but fluoresces red when illuminated with an appropriate
ultraviolet light. more
RR Donnelley has signed an expanded technology licensing agreement with Document Security systems Inc. to add several new DDS anti-counterfeiting and authentication technologies to RR Donnelley's product suite. more
